Crab puffs Hlu style
Ingredients
- 3 oz. Crab meat (whichever you prefer)
- 1/4 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tbls. Chives, minced
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sause
- 1/2 tsp. Mustard (dry)
- 1/2 cup Water (h2o) - for the scientist in you ;)
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
- 1/8 tsp. Salt (just a pinch people)
- 1/2 cup APF(all purpose flour)
- 2 lg. Eggs
Directions
- Preeat oven 400 degrees
- Combine first 5 ingredients, mix well
- Combine water, butter and salt over medium high heat and bring to boil.
- Add eggs ( one at a time ) beating after each addition
- Add crab and blend in
- Take teaspoon size of mixture and place on baking sheet
- Bake 15 min. At 400 degrees, then turn heat down to 350 and bake 15 min. Longer
* Chef Hlubek's Note: after great success you can melt butter with lemon juice and garlic and coat puffs if desired, and don't forget to tell your guests... " it's just something I threw together", and wink ;) |
